PPC/05 - ‘Canaries’

About the Prints:

PPC/05 is a release of images from Patrick L Dowse’s work in the Canaries and a re present as four square prints, enriched in colours to suit any wall.

These images were shot during multiple trips to the Canaries, specifically Lanzarote and Tenerife. On these trips Patrick had in mind the usual tropes of these islands; brits abroad and tourists. On his travels to these places, Patrick aimed to capture a new visual identity for the islands.

Playing with texture and colour, capturing details and landscapes, Patrick aims to focus in on the rich landscapes and considered architecture of the buildings there. Incorporating a coloured border matched to the images and shooting in square format which creates a visual intensity by capturing everything into a square frame.
